PROTEIN-PACKED VEGAN DOG SNACKS



how?

2 cups of chickpea flour
1 cup of plain flour
2 tablespoons of dried parsley
1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast flakes
1 cup of warm water

combine the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. slowly add the water. turn the dough out onto a sheet of baking paper and roll out to a thickness of about 1-2cm. cut into desired shape with a cookie cutter, place onto a baking sheet, and bake in a 180°C (350°F) oven for 15 minutes.

turn off the oven, leaving the dog treats in the oven for 6-8 hours until they cool and crunchy. serve to your fur family for their enjoyment.

depending on the size of your cookie cutter, this recipe makes about 3 cups of small biscuits.

  1. If these cookies have plain flour how are they gluten free. I can't give my dog wheat, so I thought these might work but I guess not.

    1. That's true! But if you substitute the 1 cup of plain for an extra cup of the chickpea flour that would do the trick :)

  2. Why would you state that these are gluten free when they aren't.. dog don't do flour, or chickpeas for that matter.

    1. Hi there, I haven't stated that these are gluten free - they certainly aren't with wheat flour, but if you want to make these GF friendly then substituting the wheat flour with chickpea would do the trick.
